ComboFormat of BootFlash, Desktop Drive Icons

The ComboFormat of BootFlash needs 134MB in the boot partion instead of 128MB. I enclose a modified version of /usr/sbin/bootflash which seems to work for luci-204. For a locale using decimal comma instead of decimal point the size of the Desktop Drive Icons is displayed as 0 bytes. A simple fix is ...

PartViiew update

There is a subtle bug i gtkdialog3 which sometimes affects the execution of PartView (Free space in Drives) If you have many partitions the "All Drives" choice may result in a failure. In my experience, with 11 partitions this happens one or two times out of ten. The error message varies, Typical ...

Re: Threat hoax

Looks like SeaMonkey simply got hijacked someway.......I don't see how it could happen from the jumping off page either. The explaination is that after installing Java I opened http://www.chessproblems.com to check that a java image appeared.I was redirected from the chess site by the phishing ...

Threat hoax

I installed lupu116 frugal and downloaded seamonkey via quickpet. Opening the webbrowser my screen was filled by strange security threat items from firesavez7.com. Clearly aimed at windows users. I have no windows system installed on the lupu partition. Does anybody have an explanation?

What puzzles me is why this and other bugs that don't exist in Puppy 4.3.1, such as drive icon misalignment, are now popping up in the Lucid Puppy pre-releases. Why not just re-use the identical code from 4.3.1 that makes these things work right? You can realign the icons manually. I assume that ...

Everything works fine. The only (cosmetic) problem is a open box error message (a buglet residue?) To keep track of my IP-address, I added a file #!/bin/bash IP=`ifconfig wlan0 | grep inet` xmessage -timeout 5 -bg cyan -buttons "" "${IP:20:13}" & to the Startup directory Excellent work Barry. :D ...

partview 1.2:

Barry K wrote: Would you mind making a couple more mods? A "Please wait..." while it's computing for all-drives. Maybe a yaf-splash window. A "Cancel" button is not appropriate to exit the program. It should be labeled "Ok" or "Quit" or "Exit". OK! That also makes sense. Here is a new PartView ...

PartView missing

I noticed that PartView was missing.

For Official 4.3.2 ttuuxxx has accepted to update PartView using the attached pet. My argument was:"Showing all drives as default is slow on low-end hardware."

Ignoring the buglets everything works fine.
Keep up the good work.

kmap-1.14.1 keymaps

ttuuxxx, There is a peculiar problem with the keymaps of 4.3.1. For keymaps using latin 1 encoding (de,dk,fi,fr,no,se, etc) non-ascii characters are not shown correctly in all circumstances. In Swedish "å" is such a character. The problem is related to the fact that there are two places where the ...

default keymaps suggestion

I suggest that the set of default keymaps for Quirky (and also for Woof and Puppy 4CE) is chosen to be similar to the puppy 4.2.1 set. The enclosed set would be a reasonable choice.
