That's pretty much what my other IT source told me. VMware and 10 distros until I find something I don't hate but am not bored of. I'm running a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard and in VMWare Fusion I've got several OSes running like Mint7 and 8, Win7, Vista, Sabayon, Ubuntu 9.10 and 9.04, Jolicloud, W...

Can someone explain the desktop to me?
I've noticed that when you try to save a file to the desktop it doesn't go there but to a folder in your home folder. What's the thought process behind this, I mean why to do it this way. So then all the icons on the desktop are actually links to their source files or folders. It's not too hard to g...

In case you're having a time of it trying to figure out the process here goes. Download the pet: cursor_themes.pet Then run it, it will install a bunch of cursor themes in the folder ~/.icons. In that folder you need to make a sym link called /default from the theme you want to try. So control click...

Is there a way to make the arrow larger? (Solved Muchly)
I've been tweaking my install of Puppy Linux and I'm trying to find a way to make the arrow larger. Haven't found a way to do that yet.
Any ideas as to how I can do it? Thanks.

Found an easy fix for small menu fonts in Seamonkey
The small fonts for the menus in Seamonkey were killing my eyes so I did a quick search and found the one link which took me to the second one for a quick easy fix. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=1609555 http://kb.mozillazine.org/Pane_and_menu_fonts Now Puppy is very comfy! H...

Hi new guy here. I could not get sound to run properly with my Puppy installed on a hard drive or from a disk, it was always garbled sounding, nasty. Well I reinstalled and then I put in all the Alsa files available in Puppy Package Manager, I ran Alsa and bingo I got barking. Just a thought out the...

I actually got this to work. I found some Office icons on line and installed a US dictionary. Fun stuff.
I'm new as all get out to Puppy Linux but I'm getting the hang of it.
I've been looking for a way to edit the Menu so I can make a link to Office but no luck yet.
