QEMU-Puppy 1.0.9-1
I've released QEMU-Puppy 1.0.9-1. It's QEMU-Puppy, based on, well, uh, Puppy Linux 1.0.9 CE. http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/qemupuppy/index.html BitTorrent and SourceForge are updated. The mirror on dotpups.de isn't, yet. (Mark?) gegroet, Erik V. - http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/ PS: Before you start asking...

I noticed that a lot of people were downloading the old torrent (1.0.7-1), and not the new one (1.0.7-2). So I started thinking... And I found the problem. On my site [1], the link to the torrent wasn't correct. The torrent itself is okay (I tested it), but the link wasn't (not tested :(). Things se...

QEMU-Puppy 1.0.7-2
I just released QEMU-Puppy 1.0.7-2. I added an (experimental) FTP server which is accessible from within QEMU (not natively): http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/qemupuppy/index.html BitTorrent and SourceForge are updated. The mirror on dotpups.de isn't, yet. gegroet, Erik V. - http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/ PS...

Just a quick test scenario for the one that wants to investigate the difference. (Barry?...) You can see the difference in speed if you run the commands below. Right after entering graphical mode, it takes a long time to show all icons on the desktop. And it takes much, much longer before the click ...

Are you asking Barry? Well, he has used a couple of previous
versions of Puppy Linux...
(So did I...)
It's new to 1.0.8.

Xvesa in 108 is slooowww....
I wanted to upgrade QEMU-puppy to 108. The patch itself was
easy. But I noticed that Xvesa in 108 is really slow, compared
to 107.
Why? How can it be avoided?
Thanks.

QEMU-Puppy available as torrent
QEMU-Puppy [1] generates a lot of traffic on my site. A little bit too much. My provider starts complaining... :) The site itself isn't a problem; the TAR ball is. Yesterday, I requested a new SourceForge project. The request still has to be approved. As soon as it's approved, I'll move (not copy) t...
