synaptic showing only installed program
Hi fred,
I tried bionicdog32 bit doing manual frugal insatall ( extracted casper and edit menu.lst) booted fine. When open synaptic that only shows program which are already install no new program available while search) . Why is this?

Hi fredx181, is there any patch for "Spectre" and "Meltdown" in debian 9 (stretch) dog. And using "user" instead of "root" can give more protection from this two thread?

You can try from task manager right click on process and select kill with following 'yes'. If it does not kill the process see the ppid i.e. parents pid, if you cant kill parent pid then unfortunately you may not kill the process. Some time it happens when we save something like pic or doc on a unmounted partition. while we save file it does not show any error but after next boot it start to show the error you cant write on drive. m.facebook or mobile.facebook or free.facebook those are option for using facebook in low config pc/mobile/tab. Not all option are available but basic task can be done.

I use both puppy(tahr 605) and debiandog. debiandog has a advantage of using synaptic where I can find any package I need. Puppy package are not that much rich with packages. I think portable app are those, which can be run without installation. Cross-platform app are those which can be used among different os (windows,linux,mac...etc). May be I am wrong.
