Have been using Foxit in Wxxxxx for awhile. Quick and lite. Any chance it will work on 3.xx series without a lot of work?

3.10 m-1 to m-2
Redownloaded and checked md-5 to be sure I had a good copy. Burned new cd. Same results as befor, the patch would not load (something about not expanding properly). Also have the continuing problem of icons stacking in upper left quadrent. I think this was resolved somewhere but cannot remember ...

ICE shutdown
Thanks for the comeback. Sorry to take so long but I had to work on my truck,(don't run forever without service. Turning Conky off didn't seem to help. Also if I switch back to jwm from ICE to problem is still there. It seems like the ICE shutdown hijacked the one that was working in jwm. As ...

Shut-down
Has anyone besides me had a shut-down problem(black screen0 when shutting down from an ICEwm session. jwm works fine, but I get black screen in ICEwm. My monitor indicator light also changes from green (normal on indication), to orange (no input signal). Is this a known problem with a solution or ...

rtl8187
This is a known problem in linux in general. Tempestious has been working on it, but until something is done at kernel level, we have to live with patches or ndis. I know it is now more of a problem than before because the rtl 8187 driver is supported, but not the rtl8187b hope there will be a time ...

3.10mi-m2 Clock
Just a question--has anyone figured out how to fix the clock. It works in the 2.xx series and the 4.xx series (as far as I know) , but there was never enough time spent on the 3.xx series 9truly a shame as it had and has great potential. Thanks

r8187 bug
i have that lovely little 8187b driver myself.. tempestous has a work around available (but i haven't been able to get it to work live). I am right now in 4.2b2 using NDIS . The secret I found was to remove the original rtl8187 but NOT to black-list it befor adding the proper driver. So far this has ...

dave, I remember somewhere that the old connection wizard is still in puppy as a hidden file. Someone with a better memory than mine might be able to direct you to it and you can see if it helps with your problem. Would like to help more but am basically computer illiterate if it isn,t gui driver ...

Realtek Drivers
I think Dave is talking about a new realtek problem. The one mentioned in the a3 thread was for the 8189(rtl8187) If I read his post correctly, he is using an 8139. Don' you just love realtek

3.02CE
Glad to see things progressing. One of the problems with Puppy is the wealth of ideas being developed. Your 3.02 was one of the first serious attempts to make Puppy compatable wiht other distros. 4.xx took it into new heights of basically Puppy programs. Now Barry is working on the "Woof" series ...

Hate tobring it up but the Connection Wizard version of rtl8187 still does not work with rtl8187b dongles. It works ok with ndiswrapper in a19 I'm using that now, but refuses to let me load "b" in wrapper. This has been a problem in401 series, but I could not find it on the forum. Has anyone created ...

Wi-Fi connection in WOOF
For the first time my wi-fi (RTL8187B) was recognized. After loading it said I was online. Saddly, this wasn't the case. I have always used NDISWRAPPER befor with success, but the drivers provided will not work for the "b" version. Tried blacklisting but to no avail, apparently reloads the linux ...
