To find the packages installed on your Debian Dog system

#1 Post by labbe5 »

In terminal :

dpkg -l | more

And press Space bar to scroll.

This command may be useful for managing packages, for example you want to remove/purge packages from your system to get rid of packages you do not use (cups, samba, etc) and you need to know their exact names to do : apt remove --purge -name-of-packages.

You should put debian dog in the title and / or put this post in the dog threads, not the puppy threads.

A little more effort on your part would go a long way to make your posts more useful.
