The other me

#1 Post by zigbert »

Puppy has been a big part of my life over the last decade. From pBackup in 2007 to recent update of pBurn last week.

Lately, I have been focusing more on my other passion - classical painting. Some find it strange to combine these two "hobbies" (full-time), but for me, it fits perfectly... If you too are one the hybrids that loves digital codelines and analog paintings, please visit me at https://www.facebook.com/artist.sigmund.berglund/ or http://sigmundberglund.com/en/index.html

Outstanding @zigbert/sigmund :D
Very dramatic and extraordinary 'paint by numbers' technique
Ever considered a logo/wallpaper for Puppy in this style? ( I had to ask  )

...and I love the way your work posted above (utdrag_fra_Selvutslettelse_1.jpg) encapsulates my latest experience using Windows 10!

Wow
With "paint by numbers" everyone can be a great painter :D
Artwork in Puppy is for me something completely different... I made the iconset found in /usr/share/pixmaps/puppy with focus on size and simplicity. My painting is a bit more grandiose and doesn't fit that well on a screen (IMHO). I like it clean on my screen

Glad you like it

I'll keep the wallpaper-idea open if I ever paint a Puppified motif :D

Talent is a word I have some issues with... I like to think we are "Learning by doing". :D

After a long lasting process, the finished painting hangs on the wall. - It's a huge satisfaction. Ok, I'm a little bit envious of people who love to paint.
Monet even threw away some of his paintings! Several artists have said that they sometimes feel crippled by the long process of having to perform the necessary practical work, which is needed to express an emotion lasting a fraction of a second...
Herlige bilder, Sigmund!

@tallboy / Olaf
It makes me happy to see someone actually read what I have written on my homepage :D

I understand Monet's struggle. Painting sometimes feel like hard work - but also important work - at least for me...

Veldig hyggelig å høre at du liker maleriene.
