WebCam installation of Fuji FinePix S304 DigiCam (Solved)

Hi.

I have a Fuji FinePix S304 Digital Camera which could be used as a WebCamera also. I want to use it to record videos from the FinePix.

Since I'm completely new to stuff like using a webcam...

...how would I setup this Digital Camera for the use as webcam?
...what's the applications available and working in Puppy to record videos?

Hello!

you can try to connect to your camera with guvcview.
This you can find in the PPM. guvcview does well with a broad range of local cameras ( webcams ). Also you can take snap shots and record video.

There are more options like connecting to the camera with VLC.
Which method you use depends on what you want to do more or less.

Hi.

After switching the FinePix camera mode to PC Camera guvcview recognizes the FinePix out of the box. Recording video also works out of the box.
