#1 Post by msumner »

Hi Guys, I havnt seen any news recently on smp kernels. Is it still proposed to have one for puppy 3.xx or will I have to wait for dingo?

Cheers, Mike

G'day,
Just to confirm that my computer tells me Dingo Alpha6 runs both its cores.
But I too would like a Puppy 3 version to have the same functionality.

Thanks David, I also noticed the dingo alpha I tried had both cores running, forget which one it was now, but there were other issues which made it un-usable on my lappy. It did run my bcmxxx wireless card out of the box though, with a signal strength of 95% (!!!) when I usually only manage 55-60% with other os's. This I found pretty impressive, but I think the prob was that it needed to be re-config'd at every boot.

Anyway, this should get sorted eventually I hope, so I am looking forward to the fastest os ever.....
