Thats why in all future Puppies 4.2+ releases will be anti-ZigbertPizzasgood wrote:Cripes ttuuxxx, give it a rest already. I don't think he's trying to bother you, but, if he his, he's sure doing a good job! You're doing exactly what you think he wants you to do.
Instead of fighting over a shutdown script, leave zigbert to reinvent wheels in peace, while you go invent something new. And if he then reinvents those new things too, we'll all realize something, won't we?
Incidentally, a quote I'm fond of, and which is particularly useful to open source:Somebody wrote:Only fools compete to beat eachother. The wise compete to strengthen eachother.
78% of who wanted what? And lets not forget over 78% wanted it the way I re-invented the wheel of 4.2
never really seen any eye apealing tcl/tk programs
but I like the look of xfburn, k3b,
out of respect for WhoDo and Pizzasgood I'll let it go.Pizzasgood wrote:Honestly, I don't think making a shutdown script after you had just done one was the brightest idea zigbert has ever had.
However, I'd "appreciate it" if you stopped harassing him and hijacking his thread. This has gone on long enough.
Maybe take that idea and posted it on the only "Official Shutdown" script site and we'll work on it? http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 06&t=40923disciple wrote:Hey, can anybody tell me if by any chance 4.2 includes a suspend script?
What does everybody think about adding a suspend script to puppy, and a suspend option to the shutdown dialogues? It would have to first check whether you have apm or acpi or neither (maybe just by seeing if the module is loaded?) and if suspend is possible.
Well...now you mention it, I did write a shutdown script too. It seems a very "Jerkish" thing to writeJERK for continuing this crap, why don't you and ecomoney join forces and really screw over as many people as you can, why not have a competition and the winner could get the biggest jerk of puppy linux award? !!!!
I wouldn't touch that with your hands and zigbert moving them, lolecomoney wrote:Well...now you mention it, I did write a shutdown script too. This ones got a "backup and shutdown" feature, so people dont have to waste time waiting to do a backup before going to bed (Really useful).
Its in the latest ecopup, feel free to plagiarize it.
Bet you didint think of THAT ONE did you Ttuxxx?
