ps your welcomebattleshooter wrote:Hey Ttuuxxx,
1. Would you consider making the search bar slightly longer, a bit more like FF3? yes in the future I will, I haven't the time right now, kind of streched with 2&5 series
2. Is there an easy way to enable the user to add or remove search engines? yes go to usr/lib/firepup <-- which ever version and open the folder, then look for the folder caller "searchplugins" open that and delete awayor right click on one and open it as text, probably better using ones I provided, I made them simple, other ones add extra stuff for site ranking etc. Then just alter/change the web location and give it a shot. If you have a site in mind, post the link and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks Ttuuxxx for making Firepup, excellent resource

Now perhaps firepup could included this desirable option...(unless it has already then just point and laugh) This also applies to seamonkey and thunderbirdYou can change it back to the built-in filepicker by modifying the following in
nsFilePicker.js which is located in the app's components directory. After
making the change you have to re-register the components which is easily
accomplished by disabling then re-enabling an extension and then restarting.
Installing or un-installing an extension will also force a component
registration. #(sic or updating)
