How do I permanently turn off gxine visualization?

#1 Post by Tweenman »

Hello,

How do I permanently turn of visualization in gxine (Puppy 4.1); The "none" selection only lasts the session. Thanks in advance.

Find the hidden folder /root/.gxine and open the file config.

Go to Line 106 and change it to this:

Code: Select all

gui.post_plugins.audio_visualisation:None

The file is being overwritten, the line I change keeps coming back like this:

# Default audio visualisation plugin
# { None goom oscope fftscope fftgraph }, default: 1
#gui.post_plugins.audio_visualisation:goom

Do you have gxine running while you are changing the file?

You also need to uncomment the line by removing the #.

No, I guess I didn't close it while I was making the edits. Thanks again.
