When the problem occurs?: If you are using some web applications that utilize Remote XUL (XUL through HTTP), you may experience some problems (from minor to severe, depending on particular application) after upgrade do Firefox 4.0.x. Some examples are: Domino Web Access for Lotus Notes, some webmail applications etc.
Why?: It rather "feature" than bug (while it was reported as bug 546857, too). It is because Remote XUL (XUL through HTTP) has been removed from Firefox 4. Both Firefox for Linux and Windows are affected.
How to solve it?:
1. Download Remote XUL Manager from
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... l-manager/
install it a restart Firefox.
2. Add specific website (full domain) to whitelist of URLs (Tools, Remote XUL Manager).

I had no idea why suddenly my webmail did not work properly (problems mainly with attachments: unable open or download).
After installing XUL manager and whitelisting my mail, it works again without any problems.
