You have to define your virtual machine.
But this is not a puppy issue.
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

Open a console and type

Code: Select all

# virtualbox
.
Any message?

How did you install (sfs, pet, deb, tar)?

Rolf
Ich verwende "frugal", und das ist gut so.
Raspberry Pi without Puppy? No, thanks.

I installed it using deb.
I did what you said and got this message:

WARNING: The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module
available for the current kernel (2.6.33.2) or it failed to
load. Please recompile the kernel module and install it by

sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup

You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed.
VirtualBox: supR3HardenedMainGetTrustedMain: dlopen("/usr/lib/virtualbox/VirtualBox.so",) failed: libQtOpenGL.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I did that (minus the sudo) and got another message:

WARNING: Deprecated config file /etc/modprobe.conf, all config files belong into /etc/modprobe.d/.
Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules:Uninstalling old VirtualBox DKMS kernel modules:rpm: invalid option -- '-'

Installing .debs is not ideal in puppy. Puppy will "often" work with them, but not all the time. I would suggest going to PPM and uninstalling the .deb you installed from the virtualbox site, and install the virtualbox made for puppy. If I remember correctly, there is one in quickpet. If not, check this out...
