Puppy Gimp Splash

#1 Post by tuxtoo »

Hello

I have noticed that some other distros have their own Gimp Splash. So I thought it was time Puppy had its own Gimp Splash. I have came up with my own Puppy Linux version of the Gimp splash. As I am no graphics expert I am sure the community can come up with something better than mine.

Perhaps some of the guys that have the skills to compile the Gimp could include some of the better efforts as the Gimp Splash for Puppy Linux.

Should any of you like to include this effort for your own installed version of the Gimp, simply save the image to /usr/share/gimp/2.0/images/. Rename the original 'gimp-splash.png' (e.g. gimp-splash-bak.png) if you want to keep the original. One thing to note is that the file name must stay as 'gimp-splash.png' (without the quotes) or the Gimp Splash will not work.

Good one Tuxtoo. I didn't know the splash screen could be changed.

Thanks.
