[originally posted ina Solved topic, I am reposting here... apologies]
HI All,
New user here, trying to get up and running with Puppy.
I installed Truecrypt in the same manner as I have with many other distros. I am running Puppy 5.5 Precise
The install went as expected with the comments others have mentioned about needing FUSE libraries and device mapping tools. I did nothing about this as I saw some FUSE things were already installed.
When I tried running Truecrypt from the command line, I get the error:
bash: /usr/bin/truecrypt: cannot execute binary file
What is wrong here? I had the same error with Vidalia when trying to run the Tor browser bundle.
Many thanks,
Idiopup
Error running Truecrypt
Hey Idiopup
Have you installed x86 or x64 package?
Most of Puppies are 32-bit (incl. Precise).

It's a single file portable TrueCrypt I did for myself and it works for me on Precise Pup.
