Fatdog64-700 get stuck at shutdown

#1 Post by dbabits »

On shutdown: gets stuck at this message:
Spin down disks..sda sdb sr0

Nothing shows after that. Have to do hard shutdown.
Not a show stopper, but thought it'd be useful to track it.

The next step after showing that "spiinning down disk" is two seconds sleep followed by powerdown. Some laptops sometimes don't do that properly - my laptop is like that (sometimes it does powerdown, sometimes it shows the powerdown message but the screen stays on).

EDIT: Please post questions related to Fatdog only in Fatdog thread. Kirk and I we don't monitor all the threads in this forum as they are mostly for Puppies; questions posted elsewhere may not get noticed and may not get a reply.

jamesbond, thank you for your help.
Sorry for stupid question, but which one is Fatdog thread?
Fatdog's home page http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/web/#forum says:
Fatdog64 doesn't have its own forum, instead it piggybacks on Puppy Linux Discussion Forum. Fatdog64 posts are usually found in the Puppy Projects subforum.
Which is where I posted the question -?
