Good resource and well maintained. I've used your Wine (v1.1) pets through Slacko 5 and 6 console a long time to run random win32 programs here and there, recently 1.7.55 and now 1.8rc1. Works as good as any other Wine package in general for me.

Hallo, version2013.

Just felt I ought to say a huge 'Thank you' for the time-consuming & complex work that you put into your WINE builds. Credit where credit is due, mi amigo. I've been using your builds for over a year now.....and they always, without fail, just 'work'.

1.7.51 has enabled me to get Adobe's Photoshop CS2 running in rg66's X-Slacko 2.3.2., and the classic 570, which it's based upon.....also various other graphics apps & utilities. Nice one!

Much appreciated. Thanks again.

Mike.

When compiling, I used

Code: Select all

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --build=i486-pc-linux-gnu --x-includes=/usr/X11R7/include --x-libraries=/usr/X11R7/lib --with-x
<- puppy 431

racy puppy 5.5 ->

I compiled using Racy 5.5

mirrors | /distro/racy5.5/racy-5.5.iso
mirrors | /distro/racy5.5/devx_racy_5.5.sfs

This puppy distro uses glibc 2.10.1
The Wine files listing 'racy5.5' will possibly not work with a glibc before 2.10.1
To see what glibc your puppy has.

Code: Select all

ldd --version
I installed these packages (as one sfs file) before compiling:

Menu entries, Color Setter, and other stuff I got from the file 'winegoodies.tar.gz' [post | page] provided by forum member 'technosaurus'.
I only made a few changes to the contents of that file.

@Pelo: I think version2013's wine-1.8-i486_v1.1.pet should work as well as your older version, as the newer versions of wine are mostly just bugfixes/optimizations/getting more programs to work. I've only tried it on Slacko 5.7, 6.3, unicorn, and Tahr 6.0.x though.
