MyCroft - operate your computer by voice command

MyCroft is available, but you need to follow some steps to have it on your box.

MyCroft is Open Source, and it is competing with the likes of Cortana for Windows 10 and Siri for IPhone.

It is a voice-activated app on the Linux desktop.

Puppy is probably too light an OS to have MyCroft installed. It is intended to work with Ubuntu, and Synaptic can deal with dependencies better than Puppy package manager, so you should use Mintpup or Xenialdog.

Let's see how to install MyCroft.

Steps taken :

sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/AIIX/Mycroft-AI-Gnom ... ension.git
cd Mycroft-AI-Gnome-Shell-Extension

run the installation script : ./installation.sh

You also need :

sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool (or something similarly labeled in your package manager)
Then open Tweak Tool and find “Extensions"
Finally find Mycroft gnome shell extension and enable it. A few more steps and your are ready to speak to your computer.

A microphone is all you need now.

MyCroft is for the most advanced user and geek, because apart from the thrill to have it working, you just replace your fingers with your voice.
