LightZone enables you to retouch and enhance photos
Users :
Whether you’re a photographer by trade or by passion, LightZone enables you to retouch and enhance photos in a simple and natural way, without the need to learn a new editing language or mathematical representations that have no meaning to most of us.
With LightZone there is no more tweaking of confusing histograms, no more guess-work; a single slider in LightZone can adjust any of the 16 exposure values in an image: individually, grouped or selectively
The java is provided (several versions) here ( jre1.7.0_65_5.7.0.sfs)
does anyone know if it is possible to use the included jre for firefox (or other browser)? on check.

Hello @Pelo
Do you mean JAVASCRIPT for Firefox? JAVA is an OS subsystem: thus runs as a Linux subsystem and does not require any browsers.
Also, you may want to post your successful running of it on this thread.
And, I found this post that might be helpful for your question.
This is a comprehensive PUP site for JAVA
Hope this helps

Java stuff can be used in Firefox, but i ignore how-to.
Lightzone running in Racy 5.5 extended version, java included yet in the distro. Java stuff can be used in Firefox, but i ignore how-to.
My purpose was only running java apps, not the browser.

version 4.1.4
Augras, a french puppy lover makes available Light zone version 4.1.4 ici (here)
LightZone 4.1.5
I've repackaged LightZone-4.1.5 after sorting java help causing a problem, added javahelp-2.0.05.jar, hexedited libLCTIFF.so changing dependency from libtiff.so.5 to libtiff.so.4 used the LightZone-4.0.0 package as a template, tested in X-Slacko 6.3.0
LightZone-4.1.5-i386.sfs
MD5 b0b000067bbddb83cad406844e9da43a
Edit: Ah found problem opening and saving tiff files, I'll will see what can be done.
Disregard, I compared it to LightZone-4.0.0, it must be the tif files I have at fault.

Re: LightZone 4.1.5
I've repackaged LightZone-4.1.5 64 bit version, performed the same modifications as the 32 bit version.
Tested in LxPup64-15.03.01-hybrid found HERE
Used gjuhasz's java package.

LightZone-4.1.5 64 bit
LightZone-4.1.5 64 bit version, performed the same modifications as the 32 bit version.
Downloaded in my tool case. I suppose 64 bits version will run only with Puppy Linux 64 bits. Nevertheless i givea try on my Slaxen 6.0 (France) and feed back.
