Can you tell me if Dbus, that I compiled, works well in Tahrpup, too? I haven't tried yet.

hi Whitesnow,
it might be worth including the dropbox.py script https://www.dropbox.com/download?dl=packages/dropbox.py it allows you to control dropbox from the command line.
for instance i have a small script in my public folder.
if i drag a file from my public folder onto it , i get the download link put straight into the clipboard.

Integration of dropbox.py script in MyDbox

I knew that script, but I never thought about its potentiality, until now.
Next release of MyDbox will download that script, too.
Many thanks for sharing this useful script!666philb wrote:for instance i have a small script in my public folder.if i drag a file from my public folder onto it , i get the download link put straight into the clipboard.Code: Select all

Re: MyDbox 1.2 version available
Thank you very much WhitesnowWhitesnow wrote:December 14th, 2014 UPDATE: 1.2 version available.
Look at first post, in this thread, to find the pet.
Enjoy!
Finally Dropbox works on Quirky 7.2.1 32bit using dbus-1.8.12_i686.pet from your repository and after the following command...
Code: Select all
dbus-uuidgen > /etc/machine-id
thank you for your kind reply. yes, now the installation worked. but there is no menu entry, and i don't know how to start mydbox or the dropbox installer.watchdog wrote:I have tested working mydbox-1.2_noarch.pet in my frugal install of slacko 6.3.2. Perhaps was the download link temporaly unavailable? Try again.
i just made a fresh install of a slacko 632, then tried to install the Dbus and Mydbox pet packages, and also got a "failed to install" window ??watchdog wrote:I have tested working mydbox-1.2_noarch.pet in my frugal install of slacko 6.3.2. thank you for your feedback. i don't have any idea why i get a "failed to install" message when clicking on the mydbox.pet package. i tried to give all permissions to the file, but it does not help.watchdog wrote:I confirm it's working for me in a fresh install of slacko 6.3.2 32 bit. No need to install an alien dbus.
on the other slacko 632 that i am currently using, the package installs itself, it is said that the menu entries are updated. but i don't see anyway to start the dropbox process. there is no such an entry in the menu.
Re: jmm, it works for me, Slaxen 6.3.2
thank you for your feedback. from all puppy distrib i tried, the dropbox install works only in tahr 6/0/5. it seems it also works in toopy-precise.Pelo wrote:jmm, it works for me, Slaxen 6.3.2
