I agree with Stu there Tuxtoo!! - those are some mighty-fine-looking Puppy logo graphics! Stunning to say the very least! I've got numerous wallpapers sitting here in my directory that could use some "Puppy Logos" on them so as to dress them up on my own desktop - these fit the bill perfectly. Wowzers!!

Thanks for your contribution to Puppy Tuxtoo and keep up the great work. :D

Many thanks for the compliments guys, they are much appreciated. I also forgot to mention that the above images have transparent backgrounds as dose the drop shadow version.

You may also be interested in a Puppy linux Gimp Splash that includes the drop shadow version.

The shadow effect you posted looks a bit choppy on the N,U,X. Do to using Gimp, So I added a shadow using Photoshop, also made a glow effect.

Nice job ttuuxxx, thanks. Yeah, i noticed that choppy look but it wasn't like that before I uploaded it. Although when I downloaded it from here it was ok again. It just seems to look choppy on the forum. Although I don't know why.

at-a-glance mini-icon customs (for those 'too generic' minis)

mini-icons-pack

Hi everyone,

I have created a pet that will replace most of the standard mini-icons with newer, better looking ones. Most of them I got from Puplite 4.0 which I found to be very nice (thanks ScOttman). Others are from icons gathered on the internet. Some have been modified by me. Give em a try; the pet is tiny.

enjoy!

Thanks Tman as these mini-icons are truly terrific!! We've needed some great-looking mini-icons like these for quite some time now to dress up the "extended menus". These really do fit the bill in this case!

Now I have several installs I'd like to go and upgrade before going offline this evening. ;)

Take care!

I was thinking how small of a file size could I make a clipboard icon ?
well the latest tango is 1808 bytes for a 48x48 and the smallest I made a 48x48 was 248 bytes, the tango one is 720% larger in file size, here's a series of clipboard icons I made from scratch, remember do what ever you want with them, they are 100% free to use :)

Here's some sd cards I made, the smallest is 248bytes :)
they rang from sd1-sd6, sd1 was the first and then I added/altered it as the numbers increase.
once again your free to do anything with them :)

Rox icons

Will someone please give me the full paths for the ROX "rescan directory contents" and "change to home directory" icons. The two I am most interested in are used in SlackO533F and 3headedDog plus several other puppies and are not located in the standard midi-icons or pixmaps folders. However just having the full path for where these icons are generally located should help.

I have used pfind with every *.png, *.rpm combo I can think might work and have viewed hundreds of icons but not these two exact icons. Thanks ... KJ

hi KJ

umm, nope - if I'm guessing right those are probably gtk icons off the dev shelf (like the nice little hdd with a splash of green and gold that pmount uses). Somehow I stumbled upon these here on this page - made my day since I've been looking for the 'proper' pmount icon for what seems like forever and there Image was all this time.. Now some icons are privately held and you need permission or an acknowledgement to use them, but I'd imagine these come under a more lenient license (non-profit and so on). It's kind of like fonts in that respect.

Sometimes wandering off the path leads to another 8)
