#441 Post by sindi »

What should sources.list include so that I can update jessie?
kazza... files are listed but no longer exist.

Hi sindi, this thread is for Openbox version, it doesn't have the kazza line in sources.list.

You are talking about JWM - Jessie version (I saw also in Wheezy thread).
Yeah, it's not maintained anymore by saintless.
Looks like there are too many issues to sort out, I can't help, sorry.

Is there the equivalent of a devx package available? I've had to start playing with Python to install ProtonVPN-cli and one thing leads to another as seems to be the case in Linux.
Here's why I need it

Code: Select all

root@jessie64:~/Python-3.6.9# ./configure --enable-optimizations --enable-shared --with-ensurepip=install
checking build system type... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
checking for python3.6... no
checking for python3... python3
checking for --enable-universalsdk... no
checking for --with-universal-archs... no
checking MACHDEP... linux
checking for --without-gcc... no
checking for --with-icc... no
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler works... no
configure: error: in `/root/Python-3.6.9':
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details
root@jessie64:~/Python-3.6.9# sudo apt-get install foxireader
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

Hi RickGT351,

Yes, download DEVX: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ljo ... ashfs?dl=1
(BTW, there's dedicated thread for Debiandog jessie 64-bit, http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=101931, with link to this DEVX at the bottom of first post)
