The fact is that Sydney has never seen the smoke as we are experiencing now.

Australia has had extremes of weather many times, but this is truly awful.

Is Australia a dry country? ....yes and no.

Kalgoolie had one of the longest pipelines at the time.
1898 -1903.

https://images.impartmedia.com/kalgoorl ... peline.pdf

https://www.pipeliner.com.au/2016/03/16 ... 1894-1903/

Can we build more across the land and have roads. railways and solar
along it so we could exploit the potential??

No...nothing in it for idiot governments of all persuasions.
Oz used to be the smart country but we are vision impared.

When there is water there is life.

What about mad Gaddafi?
He knew you couldn't drink oil...not so stupid.

:::::::::::

Israel gets it.

https://www.israel21c.org/how-israel-sw ... er-crisis/

We can't seem to see the future in OZ except for Orange.

The NSW town that defied the drought.

"""""""
Years ago we had the Biolytics filter

Made in Oz but the dought ended and the inventor went bankrupt.
Because the regulations at the time were a joke.
The Kiwis grabbed it.

The Aussie government could have bought it for a song and at least put it into every dry area school and park to help recycle..but too hard.
That requires vision.
Why keep the tech and know how here?

:::::::::

Plus when you cut cut cut down friggin' trees ad infinitum
is that helping.

And how about leakages with Sydney water?
9%....wow!

Not quite the site I wanted but

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-10/ ... t/10089808

Truly the Wukfits in water.

Do cars heat up the surroundings.
How about compulsory birth control?

No religion supports that.

And as for Greta...I can easily forget her.

Chris.

Another opinion piece, linking a previous study of positions on climate change held by Americans in a survey conducted in 2006, with a similar study of Australians in 2013 to define 5-6 mindsets of your average member of the public:

Big floods in Queensland...

Queensland rain cuts roads and prompts warnings of flash flooding.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-01-27/ ... s/11902586

:::::::

Queensland’s floods are so huge the only way to track them is from space

http://theconversation.com/queenslands- ... ace-111083

::::::::

South-east Queensland smashed by thunderstorms, flooding overnight.

brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/south-east-queensland-smashed-by-thunderstorms-flooding-overnight-20200118-p53skl

Last url won't work..just copy and paste the Brisbane Times link above and it works.

All links show how dumbie governments never learn....ever.
