Love the youtube1s download tip :)

i.e. locate youtube video online and change the url from yahoo.com to yahoo1s.com ... and be offered different formats to download the video.

For a little while now I've been going to align my newsletter web page as it looks a bit wonky. Thanks to norgo I no longer have to as he's done it for me.

Thanks norgo.

Except for greengeek I never received another contribution for the August newsletter.
I would appreciate some help for September. Thanks.

Newsletter - where is she?

#136 Post by Lobster »

What is happening with the excellent monthly newsletter? Last one was January 2019?
Has Smokey been carried to Puppy heaven in a puff of smoke? Is he spending his time chatting on PSIP (Puppy Phone?)

Is he busy? Run out of material? New editor needed?

In Ye Olde days I used to create a daily newsletter. Yes really.
I iz fanatic.

However I am also mad and have been certified ...
Smokey as an ex fire-fighter is made of sterner stuff. :D

Maybe not enough support?
Send some Puppy news articles right here to get some momentum. :D

I have sets of instructions for installing Shinobi
and ZoneMinder.

I could also include some recipes and tips for installing web servers with varying degrees of power and complexity. LAMP, LHMP for example.

I also have been experimenting with Opencv and Darknet-YOLO and can share my findings on object / face recognition...plus some add on's for zoneminder that can detect if something is missing from a camera's field of vision

what format should I do these in and how do I submit....?

That would be great and I'm sure many would find it useful and interesting.

Yes please.

I also have been experimenting with Opencv and Darknet-YOLO and can share my findings on object / face recognition...plus some add on's for zoneminder that can detect if something is missing from a camera's field of vision.

Again, yes please.

I prefer the articles are written in Notecase. If not possible then Libreoffice will be acceptable.

Articles can be sent to me at smokey01@internode.on.net or uploaded on the Newsletter page.

Hi Smokey01!

I've found your newsletter recently and.. found it very interesting and useful. I still read it part by part 'cause it is hudge ) with much pleasure and with thought sometime: what a great job you all had done! Many thanks.

btw, most of links onto puppylinux.org/wikka/ are broken.
If I find what to write I'd join but I'm still studying )

Please proceed and pin a link on your Newsletter in the Forum topic for the Beginners!
