64 bit version https://www.dropbox.com/s/fcdol7dkde3or ... 4.pet?dl=1
Copy/Paste can now be used to make copies in the same directory.
Also have new key-bindings,
"Rename..." => "F2"
"Terminal Here" => "F4"
The backtick "`" key still works too.

Switched from using inotify to GFileMonitor.
Also have new key-bindings,
"Refresh" => "F5"
"New Directory" => "Insert"
Please post if you notice any new problems with refreshing windows that didn't exist in version 13. If the switch to GFileMonitor is causing problems I can go back to using inotify.

New version built into my Art Studio.
Updated my local .mo file for DE.
Attached is a fake .gz, so just remove the .gz in its name.

Thanks, but I think the file I need is de.po
The current one I have is here: https://github.com/woodenshoe-wi/rox-fi ... c/po/de.po
I have made some small changes to the source code in dir.c and main.c so some line numbers are a little out of sync. I didn't add any translated strings, but a few translated strings were deleted.
Do I need to add your updated de.po before I run update-po?

Sorry, I can't say anything about updating a .po file.woodenshoe-wi wrote:Thanks, but I think the file I need is de.po

I have a right-click tool that converts .mo files into .mo.po files and revert (it loads the devx automated, if not loaded), so I'm editing the .po files manually in a text editor. Never used the .mo Manager program.

There's two terminal (inside the devx) commands for this:I didn't know it was possible to convert .mo files back into text files.
- msgfmt --> to build the .mo file
- msgunfmt --> to build the .po file
I just created two small RoxApps to have a right-click option in Rox filer to easily convert and edit those files. If converting to .po it is sent immediately to the default text editor.

I used the msgmerge command to apply the updates to de.po and checked the results.
There probably are still some translations that are wrong, but it is better than before.
One I noticed is
https://github.com/woodenshoe-wi/rox-fi ... e.po#L4086
Maybe msgmerge is making things up? The English doesn't have a '%s'.

Code: Select all
#: tips:96

msgid "Last Accessed"
msgstr "Kann auf %s nicht zugreifen"

I didn't make the complete translation. Almost all of my DE .mo files are taken from the German language package by L18L. The above example is completely wrong translated.woodenshoe-wi wrote:I used the msgmerge command to apply the updates to de.po and checked the results.

Last Accessed would need to be translated to Letzter Zugriff. Kann auf %s nicht zugreifen would be in EN Can not access %s.
So, I need to have again a look into that .mo file.

Thank you for your help.
The "Last Accessed" translation must have been auto generated by the update process because there was no "Last Accessed" translation in the ROX-Filer.mo.po file you gave me.
It is a recent addition that I added to allow choosing which columns are shown in "List View".
There are 29 more fuzzy translations and 18 untranslated messages.
If you download the current version of de.po from here https://raw.githubusercontent.com/woode ... c/po/de.po you can search for 'fuzzy' to find the questionable translations.
Searching for the untranslated messages is a bit trickier because 'msgstr ""' also matches multi-line messages. I can paste newline characters into the search box in geany by selecting from the end of a line to the beginning of the next line. Searching for 'msgstr ""<newline><newline>' brings up only the untranslated messages.
If you want to review the changes from when I merged the ROX-Filer.mo.po file you gave me, they can be viewed here:
https://github.com/woodenshoe-wi/rox-fi ... 1b546f1bff but it is a very large diff.

I have been working on the ROX-Filer petbuild to make a NLS pet.
Pet should be architecture independent,
https://www.dropbox.com/s/izn2wrpi0g5av ... l.pet?dl=1
I put all of the .po files and the ROX-Filer.pot file in /usr/share/doc/nls/ROX-Filer/
I am not familiar with momanager but it seems to be finding the files O.K.
I saw a post by Argolance mentioning an updated French translation,
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 352#642352
It was several years ago, I don't know if that translation is now in the French language pack?
When anyone has updated translations available I will update the NLS pet.

Hi.
Thanks for the link.
I took almost 20 minutes to download (low speed volume only atm), but it compiled immediately without to complain my changes made in pixmaps.h.

I have been doing some more work on ROX-Filer and I think I fixed the problem with a small area between the icon and name not being clickable when using small icons.
I also updated the tooltip for the "Details" button that switches between "List View" and "Icon View" modes.
The tooltip used to read "Show extra details". @ITSMERSH would you be willing to translate the following?

New version:
32 bit version https://www.dropbox.com/s/zq1avluqxb5i0 ... 2.pet?dl=1
64 bit version https://www.dropbox.com/s/ql0k1ovnlzf1k ... 4.pet?dl=1
I made some adjustments to the icon auto-placement code in pinboard.c
The original code only supported vertical columns, but now horizontal rows are supported too. You may need to set the bottom margin appropriately. (Options->Pinboard->Iconified windows)
Instead of specifying actual coordinates in the soap message, negative values have the following special meanings:
x: -1 means left (vertical), -2 means right (vertical),
-3 means left (horizontal), -4 means right (horizontal)
y: -1 means top, -2 means bottom
To test it out, I put the following soap message in a text file,
and fed it to rox with the following command line,
32 bit version https://www.dropbox.com/s/zq1avluqxb5i0 ... 2.pet?dl=1
64 bit version https://www.dropbox.com/s/ql0k1ovnlzf1k ... 4.pet?dl=1

I updated de.po, GitHub.com 8b7ccdf - commit amended
The translation is for the Details button tooltip, are you sure it accurately describes how the button works?
