Puppy won't boot after first save

#1 Post by Hogi »

Running puppy 2.02 regression
Compaq laptop
pioneer DVD+R burner

burn image to CD in puppy, works fine, boots up.
Enter monitor settings, try to get wireless internet card working, give up, so I shut down, and save changes to the DVD. Now it will not boot.

I figured I might be able to run puppy from inside XP to make changes, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Any suggestions?

I've also had similar problems saving setting to a CD-RW using puppy 2.02

Hogi, did you burn a multisession DVD of Puppy, or just boot the CD then try to save changes to a blank DVD? To use multisession Puppy on a DVD you must first burn a multisession DVD (use Puppy's burniso2cd,) then boot it, and when you shut down it will ask you if you want to save to the DVD. You can also make a multisession CD but that doesn't work as well as DVD.
