You need to specify 64bit or 32bit as these 2 BionicPups are different.
Do you have sound from other applications such as a media player (or other browser)?
Firefox installed via Puppy Package Manager or QuickPet (in 64bit) ?
What is the Firefox version?
You can see what is in front of you, but we can't, so you have to give as much information as possible.
As a test, if Firefox is installed in /opt, you can try in terminal

Testing in BionicPup32 now.
It does not seem to have QuickPet (BionicPup64 does).
Perhaps you mean installing Firefox from Menu>Internet>Get Web Browser ?
I just did that and it downloads Firefox 74.0 as .sfs package and loads it.
The icon is missing from the Menu entry, but sound in YouTube works, so I can not reproduce your problem.
The main firefox directory is placed in /usr/lib rather than /opt in this case, but the package also contains a launcher script at /usr/bin/firefox which handles all the necessary things including apulse for sound.
Having said that, I am a bit confused about the apulse package in this Puppy but I might post about this in the Bionic32 thread.
