Recently I noticed that if I use pkeys=<lang> option at boot then, indeed, all messages are displayed correctly and contain proper diacritics (if corresponding langpack is installed, of course), but the diacritics are not displayed when typing.

Long story short: I have rebuilt almost all keymaps (initrd.gz/lib/keymaps/*.gz) in Unicode mode and the problem seems to be fixed.

However, I can be 100% sure only if it comes for pl, so I'd like to ask for confirmation from other users (de, fr, ru, es, gr, etc.).
What I need to know is:
- Does anyone have the same issue?
- If so, do those new, re-converted keymap files actually solve the problem?
- If so, are there any negative side effects?

Also, perhaps there's another way to fix it that I'm not aware of..?

If anything on the other thread is not clear enough, just let me know.

hello sir, my project is to add poland and hungaria to xvkbd panel. These two countries use Puppy, skamilinux team even release lot of puplets.
We need pl file for xvkbd. Would it be possible to provide it ?

Yep, this is how it looks like on my end, too.
To get Polish diacritics, try AltGr + a c e l n o s x z.

Polish replaces hebrew in my XVkbd stored in my tool case. Sorry for hebrew, But this month, bikers of Giro d'Italia will be honored each day by not only a jersey, but a virtual keyboard too. There is a Polish team, CCC, always on the scene.
Polish was Forgotten in XVkbd. French team adds it until now.

New European countries are welcome, Those having bikers In Giro D'italia will have priority during may.
