puppy loaded in xvesa but its just a black white speckled screen. No desktop, etc

I just had to reboot puppy and then walk through the connect wizard until i found drivers that recognized my high speed internet setup. Sorry it took so long to reply.

i finally got it online - have been up 45 hours and am used to ubuntu. Sorry for not having more details.

I JUST installed Puppy after 43 hours of straight research on os and install attempts -- was trying to load live cd off usb cd drive - not the dern little mini ext cd drive laptop came with. used that and now i have puppy.
