My Ma wanted this game but after unzipping all files from wxgtk to /usr/lib as provided and then installing the openyahtzee game and rebooting..it will not open....in a terminal it says it can not open as it requires libgio-2.0.so.0..it is not in tuxx libs link that I can see or the package manager ...

Hi...thanks I ran the pupscan again on dingo..here is yenta noted for modules, pci, and yenta more info...appears similar for 4.1.2.. 4.1.2retro is not as friendly..can run the live cd though and install the little pet fix if you like..not sure it is relevant...the modem is argere but is detected ...

well...a dual boot could be interesting...I would rather just puppy or another linux that worked as well with pcmcia support for the burner...what about a usb burner...the single port is likely usb1..would a usb burner even work...has any one done that I wonder

yes apparently there is or was a parelell cable also for this device...I do not have it...the floppy allowed one to boot the live cd from the backpack where no cdrom was in the machine..I think...I also boot a thumb with the wakepup but it is unlikely to boot the device

Hi I will have to try it...I just plugged in the thumb (1gig fat 16 and two gig fat 32) and ran the installer for the frugal install...it auto saved after the initial setup for the pupsave on initial shut down..curious why you want the full install to thumb...will try here and see what happens..best ...

Thanks.. yes pcmcia is often regarding wireless cards.. the backpack cd burner works well with winme as does the linksys wireless card...I am only interested in getting the cd burner working at the moment. but reading lots of wireless card threads at the bottom of the pupscan interface info sheet ...

I agree with the above...burn at a very slow speed to a cd-r....it may be that the drive is only 8x or something and will not read +r and rw..just a thought..
