on my 701 with new savefil and the latest beta xlock doesnt work still.

i am testing the latest beta it works greatly if not for some stuff: eeecontrol works perfectly but trying to turnn on the overclock results into an unusable system, i had to remove the savefile in order to be able o log again, the screen gets all garbled battery monitor, stll doesnt work properly, ...

im curious why the plugins of skype and facebook dont work with this version of pidgin.
i tried installing in ~/.pidgin/plugins or /usr/lib/purple-2/ but it still doesnt get loaded...am i doing smth wrong?

i tried to install the plugin the same way i do in my debian
that is copying the .so file into .pidgin/plugins
unfortunately it doesnt work in puppy

i noticed a small problem on my 701.
the battery monitor doesnt work properly, it doesnt change color when charging or critical battery, but if i hover the mouse over it it tells me the correct %.
Is there any way to address it? i'd be nice to have a working monitor!!!

I noticed a few problems: first of all is not possible to use the screensaver nor to configure it. then seamonkey is not really so nice, i'd like to have FF3 or chrome on it. ok found the problem:
MAD plugin must be disabled in order to play streams

i am not sure this is the case
on debian XMMS plays happily that stream (same version of puppy)
on puppy doesn't
on debian mplayer plays it as well
on puppy gxine doesn't..
It sounds more like there are codecs missing
and i wish to know where should i look for..
