Wireless Problem still

Ok, here's the test version of eeetiger, a version of TigerPup (compiz-fusion) customised for the eeepc. Thanks to dvw86 and everyone else who has made this possible, I've only had to edit a few files. Go to: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=214672#214672 for more details. Cheers! ~...

Re: clicks

With the setup - network wizard, the usual click sequence is wifi interface (ath0) - wireless - scan . You should see the available networks at that point. Select a network and then click on the encryption button (WEP, WPA), supply the key/passphrase and then click on Use this profile - autodhcp . ...

I'm using xp, unfortunately

I'm using an xp box, thus my great desire to get a working Linux distro.

I don't want to install something that isn't going to work, so I'm trying out Pupeee on a flash drive.

F2 toggles wifi on this too, but I still get the message that the interface isn't active

Wireless Problem

I have Asus eee4g. Windows XP installed. Running Pupeee right now from USB Thumb Drive. If I can overcome some problems, I want to install Linux over the XP. Problem 1: No wireless connection. In XP, it works fine; the thumb drive version works perfectly on my Toshiba Laptop, with no connection prob...

Pupeee wireless on assus eee 4g

I've tried a few Puppy distros: Dingo, Pupeee, and a fully loaded version, whose name I've forgotten. Partly from frustration. I love my Asus, and probably should have bought it with Linux, but didn't. I'd like to stick with Pupeee because of the light footprint. I can't get it to connect to my wire...

Problems with eee Computer

I'm running Puppy Dingo from a USB drive. This is on an Asus eee computer. Setup with xorg graphics driver The desktop is too big, with some of the words being conflated (run together and unreadable) and the bottom of the screen cut off. With Puppy, unlike XP (factory installed) the screen doesn't s...

How to copy Puppy from CD to jump drive in Ubuntu?

I want to make a live bootable stick drive with Puppy4 on it. I'm now (this week) using Ubuntu on my computer. Is there an easy way to put Puppy on my stick (jump, lipstick, whatever) drive? I don't know if there's an ISO burner type thing on here, and the one I had in windows wouldn't burn to anyth...

Can't Boot From CD

Thanks, I'll try that. There is a change in one of the lines that comes up when booting. It's in pink, so I noticed it, but don't know what to do with it, or how to change it. The line reads: [oops, I wrote it down, but I can't find it] Anyway, it's about saving something to the "steve" ra...

Can't boot from CD anymore

For some reason, suddenly I can't boot from my cd. I've been having no trouble for quite some time, and have grown to like the puppy platform. Suddenly, it ain't workin' no more. No changes to my settings I've re-downloaded a couple of times, and reburned a couple of cds, and no luck. I just can't g...

Dingo CDs won't boot anymore

Folks, I have a couple of Puppy Dingo CDs I've made. They were booting up and working just fine until yesterday. I can't think of any changes I've made. I can't boot anymore. The boot program runs up until the screen that says Loading Kernals, or some such thing. It's just about the last item in the...

Boot Freezes
