EDIT: ok it was my bad, i didnt make the new user folder b4 making the new user acct, i blame lack of sleep :x irregardless! having fixed that and remade the user acct (with home folder this time) i have the playonlinux gui up and it ddint spew a opengl error at me :) progressing thru 1st time setup...

hi :) i installed the devx sfs as instructed b4, and that has got me a step further, but it wont run since puppy is in administrator (root). so im looking into finding out to run it under fido ( non root user) once i find out its password X3 (or set a new one) EDIT: changed password, tried to run it...

i was mainly wanting to see what was being acessed.. i have found that xampp has webaizer.. usefull for load monitoring.. but im after something realtime and file specific.. Eg:.. ip file date time 0.0.0.0. index.php 28.07.06 23:45 as an example, a bit like how top works

xampp is good (contains apache,mysql,php,proftp, and others..) and easy to use..

i recomend it if u want something more than just a html website..


ghttpd should be working ok tho.. maybe "any" isnt right.. dunno..

i seem to be missing a few parts of kde.. but i think it just doesnt know where they are (like konqueror, tho it is there cos i ran it from the commnad line.)
kde seems to be missing its settings folder so no control panel either hehe

i have added a mount command to rc.local.. that should clear that up.. i really need to stop the firewall from blocking everything wen i set it up then it wouldnt be too bad.. still trying to figure out why some people are blocked.
