kkpity .. you are doing the exact same thing as I had been doing for a year !! There is a secret 'SAVE' button that pops up after you load ipw2200. Make sure you find that one first !! No point saving wireless settings for your next boot unless you have the driver installed. Did you read my previous ...

Wow .. did some more testing and there you go .. it worked! I think I always would load the ipw2200 driver and never click the save button. Then of course the iwconfig settings would never stick on reboot because the ipw2200 was not loading on boot, hence nothing to save the iwconfig settings to! So ...
