When boot screen appears hit tab key and append forcepae -- forcepae.
As you mentioned the blanks before and after the dashes are needed.

Hi - have installed (full) Slacko 5.5 on a Fuji laptop. added openoffice_cutdown3-2.2.0 and openoffice-missing3-2.2.0 from Puppy-3 repository. When trying to save a text or spreadsheet file OO crashes and tries to recover file Untitled1 - which it can not recover. It ends up in the loop - save as .....

I'm trying to reinstall seamonkey on slacko puppy 5.5.3 but can't find the pet or sfs.
I had installed google chrome - did not like it and did remove it via UNINSTALL of the puppy package manager.

yes - the file is there

have Slacko 5.3.3 on 2 PC's / full install

get always this error msg
"/usr/lib/cups/filter/pdftops failed"
and no pop up screen to select where to "print" the file (e.g. /tmp) which was true for Lucid 5.2.5

Any fix for it ?

on my Slacko Puppy the Parcelitte clipbord manager starts at boot time. I ticked under preferences the "use primary (selection)" and "synchronize clipboards" entries.
Now I can see and edit the copied text.

I'm using ePDFview on Slacko Puppy Linux 5.3.3
The selected text doesn't appear on the clipboard BUT it's there and hidden somewhere !!

I tried the middle button to copy the text into a new file and voila it works
