The Golden Puppy Hand
Hello guys. Based off a photo I took in the bush. The flower is probably a weed, but none the less pretty. Probably will not suit ROX pinboards with the icons in the top left, as that is where the logo is. Creative Commons 3 BY NC SA William Hales Australia 2010 Credit to afgs , who drew the Puppy ...

Things to note: Erasing partitions of a HD is 100% recoverable. You can recover all of your information in either parted ( not gparted ) or fdisk, I have forgotten which one. Google it my friend. All 'erasing' partitions does is remove the information telling the computer where ther partition starts ...

The system will probably block files not based on their extension but by their head. Note the below information requires you to have knowledge on how to use the Linux terminal. Open up a terminal ( RXVT ) and browse to where the .pet and a harmless small file sits that would normally be let through ...

Technically it is possible to do what RetroTechGuy has done in lose98. Routers can transmit on AFAIK 11 3.6ghz frequency ranges. With each one on a different frequency range there will not be clashing. All the card has to do is send keep-alive signals to both routers every now and then. The only ...

Gentoo documentation rocks http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Chroot_from_a_livecd The command options from here allow you to literally enter the system from within Puppy if Puppy is installed somewhere else. Chroot I believe stands for 'change root filesystem' ( don't trust me however ) and allows you ...

Right click any blank area in a folder in ROX-filer to get a menu. Click on the 'Options' option with the icon next to it. You will now see a configuration window for ROX-filer. Re: Some Questions for a full install
Hi, I have an Intel Imac and we soon be doing a full install of Puppy Linux. It will be a dual-boot (utilizing the rEFIt app). I have a few final questions. (1) Is swap not needed? I have 1GB ram memory, since Puppy runs in ram, Is a swap partition really not needed - I will mostly be using this ...

To reinforce what David stated The only time killing power can damage Puppy is if it is performing a pup_save. You will probably want to disable the 30 minute automatic and shutdown saves unless you wish to save game snapshots anway, so Puppy will never write to the pup_save unless you ask it to do ...

Puppy 2.4? That is pretty old. Yes, it sound like the GIMP refuses to load the plugin as it would cause you to have near-nil RAM left. Anything less than 16mb is too low really. The GIMP probably sees all of the image plugins as one big plugin. Open up Gparted and add a swap partition to your USB ...
