@diditt I think you must boot TazPuppy from pristine state and create a new save file.

@diditt replacing nouveau.ko is a bad idea. Undo it. Since you are using the scpup kernel and zdrv files. Try to load also the scpup fdrv file, rename it as fdrv_tazpup_5.0.sfs, put it beside the zdrv file and reboot tazpuppy

Try to boot TazPuppy using ScPup kernel. Don't forget to rename ScPup zdrv file as zdrv_tazpup_5.0.sfs

nvidia-xconfig look for entry in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, however TazPuppy does not store Xorg settings at xorg.conf. Instead it uses individual files saved at /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d folder

Did you try to use ScPup kernel and zdrv files on TazPuppy?

If you boot TazPuppy for the first time then do the following:

1. Login on commandline as root
2. Run the following commands

cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log /root/
mkdir -p /root/xorg-conf-files
cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/* /root/xorg-conf-files/


3. Put /home/tux/xorg-conf-files in a tarball
4 ...

It seems the problem was lies on gtkdialog and gtk upon creating the spinbutton. Since psynclient was written in bash and rely on gtkdialog for rendering the gui

That's weird that lxpanel crash on your computer while on @proebler's computer doesn't.

Do the following:

1. Boot tazpuppy in pristine state
2. Logged in as root
3. Click Documents from Desktop and go to /usr/bin
4. Right click Xorg and open with geany
5. Press CTRL + H or Click Edit ...

When you logged in as non-root user

Click user icon on TazPanel (colored green, around upper right corner). It will prompt you logged in as root

Username: root
Password: root

When logged in, the user icon will became slitaz icon.

The TazPanel is now on root mode
