smokey, I couldn't get googlecast to see my chromecast device until I ran: iptables -I INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 32768:61000 -j ACCEPT Then I encountered the same problem with VideoStream. Instead I installed Video Player 2.0.7 extension, put a script to run it on the desktop, and it casts perfect...

If anyone wants the last stable release of avidemux, i've uploaded a slackware derived pet here:
avidemux-2.6.10-i486.pet.

speedcrunch-0.11-i486-1_slack.txz works for me on raring, but I find the interface on ttuuxxx's version better. Don't seem to be able to replicate it with the latest version!
