Hello Thanks, Flash I using a Tahr frugal install to hard drive with a save folder. At present I have used Seamonkeies UI to set the cache location to another partition of the hard drive, along with the profile and mailboxes. I hoped this would keep it all separate from Puppy files so be easier to m...

Hello Mike Thanks for that tutorial. One thing I forgot to mention was that I intended to let Tahr make a savefolder rather than a savefile on first shutdown, would that still work if the Tahr files are in a folder themselves? The reason for trying a savefolder is that this is the PC my Mum uses and...

Thanks, Phill I will have a swap part. The machine currently has Lupu as a full install but I did that before realizing how handy the Frugal way is. I am looking to be able to run newer browsers than Lupu can manage and Tahr seems to boot and run OK from a USB but I haven't run for long but it sound...

Minimum spec?
Hello
Is anyone still watching this thread?
Do the minimum specs quoted on the front page assume a Frugal install? I'm looking at putting Tahr 606 on a P4 1.6 with 2Gb RAM and wandered if a Full would give better all round usability?
Thanks
Will

Hello I am looking to install the latest SeaMonkey (2.49) on a new install of Taha pup. I have downloaded the .gz archive from the SeaMonkey project but how to use it in Puppy? USB mouse compatability
Hello
Real daft question here.
Will Puppies Lupu and onward be OK with a USB mouse rather than using the old-style 'mouse port'? While I'm here, what about the cordless ones with a little USB mounted and powered reciever?
Just checking before buying:-)

HP printer drivers
Hello I have landed at this project after following links about the HP printer driver package from rcsn51. I have found the file name in the repo linked in the first post but wandered if it will still work with the Ubuntu based Puppies such as Lupu, Precise or Tahr and if so, which of them? I have b...

Hello I've the same problem. I've found https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer/wiki/unixpkg this page which has a link to an unofficial Ubuntu repo with *.deb packages. They might be worth trying depending which Puppy you use. I will probably try in a new save file at some point. suppose one of ...

Hello Thanks, sheldon for helping me to ID the boot files, I've used those you listed and it seems OK. With the GRUB entry I thought on it some more and think I must be using an older version than you so kept to the syntax I've used successfully before and just changed the path (folder) to point to ...
