Thanks very much! It worked. I saw that option, did not know how to to find a viewer folder, such as the one you suggested. Is there any other picture viewer that would work too?

gFTP
I used gFTP to look at my web site, and I see all the files including .jpg files. But, I can't seem to view any pictures. I even transfered a picture to the Puppy box, and I see the file. If I select the .jpg and right click, there is a View option. A blank window box opens, but no picture. At the ...

Can't print
I have a HP 5440 Deskjet and used CUPS to set it up. Could not find the model, so found a .ppd file for the HP 5440, and used it. I print to it from the Puppy box through the network cable to my router and then through a print server. I use an IP address for the printer setup, like socket://xxx.xxx ...

bcm43xx and 2.15CE
I found both the sys and the inf files in C:\drivers\WLAN\broadcom. I'll proceed as you say in your message. Is there any other .pet I should install? I think at one time I tried bcm43xx-firmware.pet which didn't work. Also, what is net-setup-2.15.pet?
Thanks again

bcm43xx and 2.15CE
Trying Puppy again. This time using 2.15CE in fresh install. Never could get wireless to work in 2.14. Probably doing something wrong. Download PET firmware fix for bcm43xx, but still no joy. What do I need in 2.15CE to get get wireless to work on my Fujitsu laptop using Broadcom bcm4306. Want to ...

Been at it all weekend. Connected once a few days ago. Then did something, now will not. Downloaded bcm43xx driver, and installed. Not sure why I need it, for see bcm43xx without it. Also see 8139too also, which is the LAN driver. Get alive condition of eth1 OK, and made WPA profile named NETGEAR ...

network wizard
rarsa I got wireless laptop to work once with WPA, did something and can't connect anymore. I think you should separate wireless from LAN steps. Not sure what the various "saves" mean. Have just one save at very end when one is satisified and all works. Also, no indication how to delete a profile ...

tempestuous Well, here we go again. Went to Internet cafe to see if I could get connected on open router with no success. Went home and was back to normal with WPA. Then, did something in the wizard to mess it all up and now can't connect. The wizard is very confusing, with a lack of step by step. I ...

tempestuous Thanks so much. That did it. Been away from Puppy way to long while all you dedicated gurus are still toiling to always make it better. If I bring laptop to an internet cafe that has open router instead of my WPA, will I be able to connect without making any changes? Under XP, this idea ...

Wireless connect
Just downloaded 2.14. and burned CD. Using Fujitsu laptop with built-in wireless. Broadcom 43xx is adapter. Both LAN and Broadcom adapters show up. Puppy sees LAN as eth0 and wireless as eth1. Using Netgear wireless router with WPA. Cannot connect. Set Profile Name as Profile Name, and ESSID as ...

Perl error?
I'm playing with an application that uses Perl. I downloaded and compiled a CPAN module, which seemed to go OK. But, when I entered this Perl module check command, I got an error. A Perl expert I talked to says this is not good and probably Perl is corrupted. Also, I'm having other error problems ...

What other issues were you having with 2.02? If there are good reasons to avoid 2.02 for now and just use 2.01r2, I would be interested in hearing about them! I found at the time WAG didn't work. I think now that has been corrected with a patch. Also, could not get devx_202.sfs to mount. Not sure ...

Boot errors
flash says "Don't worry about them" I think I saw that general answer before. As a follow up, I can select from 2 pup_save.3fs, one for 2.01r2 or 2.02. I booted up 2.02 and correct pup_save, and see no boot errors. So, I guess the pup_save for 2.02r2 has some sort of corruption. I suppose still don ...

Should I worry about those boot error messages?
I don't know how long this has been going on, but I see lots of errors. close to end of boot. Using Puppy 2.01r2, and booting from LiveCD with no apparent problems that I see in operation. HD has 3 partitions, 2 at 5GB ext2, and one 500 MB Linux Swap. A few day ago, I had a "jamed" condition where ...

tempestuous No, they're two separate modules. I stand corrected. I think you mentioned this before, but missed the point. When you compile wireless drivers for Puppy 2.0/2.01, how is it different than just generally compiling the wireless drivers. And, I guess I'm asking what do you have to do to ...

Does anyone have a ZD1211 driver that will work with 2.02? The only one I have been able to find appears to support only ZD1211b, but not ZD1211? Looking at the ZyDAS site, it appears that the driver file name is the same for either zd1211 or zd1211b. And the file size looks the same. I think the ...
