Re: PuppEX Tahr with kernel 3.17.6-puppex
To yerc1 Hope it works this time. If not I have to throw in the towel I regret to advise that the touchpad doesn't work still. Please don't feel bad. I'm sure many out there will find your remaster useful. If it's any consolation, the touchpad also did not work on tahrpup 6.0 CE with the kernel 3.1...

Re: New release/version of PuppEX Tahr 141124
Hi exton, The Toshiba Chromebook touchpad issue was not fixed in PuppEX Tahr 141124. I attached a hardinfo report generated on the chromebook running Fatdog64-700 beta2 in case you wanted to investigate further. As far as I have tested, the chromebook is running perfectly on Fatdog. Thanks for your ...

Re: New release/version of PuppEX Tahr 141124
Today (1411214) I have uploaded a new version of PuppEX Tahr. It uses kernel 3.17.4-puppex . Kernel 3.17.4 was released 141121. To yerc1 If your Toshiba Chromebook touchpad now works it is thanks to pemasu's advice. See above. Awesome. Thanks exton. Will download on first opportunity. With regard t...

Kirk and James, take care brothers. Family should always come first. I wish them a fast recovery. Thanks for all your work. +1 After a bit more time with Fatdog64-700b on my chromebook, i found that my wireless and touchpad issues were a result of my non-familiarity with Fatdog and its tools, wpa_g...

Re: Carolina with 3.17 kernel
@yerc1 Glad to hear you're one step closer. The touch pad can apparently be solved with a kernel update, so that's easy enough. The wireless... My kernels seem to have trouble with that, haven't quite mastered that I guess. What's the model number of the wireless? As excited as a kid waiting for ch...

Re: PuppEX Tahr Linux Live CD with kernel 3.17.2-puppex
Will include? Or already included in this update? I certainly meant to include such support in version 141116 of PuppEX. I don't know if I succeeded since I can't test it myself. Thanks for meaning to include touchpad support. It's early days but playing around with PuppEX Tahr (even only briefly a...

Re: PuppEX Tahr Linux Live CD with kernel 3.17.2-puppex
I must have "forgot" to include support for the Toshiba Chromebook touchpad when I compiled the kernel. I will try to remember it next time...). No worries. Tahr 6 has nice improvements over earlier official releases and it has an LTS base too. Do you plan of updating this remaster in the...

Yes, the 3.17 kernel brings chromebook support. Try booting with mem=1950m kernel option. I have a Acer c720, with the stock firmware I needed that kernel option. Could try a lower number if that doesn't work. Boot option mem=1500m allowed my Toshiba Chromebook to run this Fatdog. I don't have much...

Re: Fatdog64-700 beta2
Hello @Yerc1 ... Is there anything I need to do to run Fatdog64-700 on the chromebook? The ability to boot anything on any Chromebook varies by BIOS, CPU+MB, vendor and "touch displays". No PUP as yet has a clear path on this and for those who will be purchasing in coming year-end sales, ...

Re: Fatdog64-700 beta2
I've finally tried Fatdog64 and I'm impressed. I had no expectation it, being a 64-bit distro, will run on my Acer Aspire One 532h netbook with Intel Atom N450 / 1.66 GHz & 1 GB ram, but it did. There are nice things that would be good to see in official puppy releases. I was hoping this Fatdog6...

After a few small edits and gyro's patches, save folder is working. Just compiled 3.14.22 kernel (I had the source already) and will test to see if it works tomorrow. If it does, I'll compile a newer one. I would appreciate if you can revisit adding kernel support for Toshiba Chromebook touchpad. P...
