I have just now checked Carolina's suspend and hibernate options on my Aspire One netbook. Both options don't work. I have not tested on other machines as Saluki 023 can bring the netbook on suspend/ hibernate Hi yerc1, Fortunately I have one of those. Suspend worked for me on both my Aspire and my...

Re: Font size adjustment

UMPlayer, If the font is larger than 11pt no font will show I think you meant the menu does not show where it's usually located. On my netbook, the menu is not visible where it was, but at the right side of that same space there's a double- headed arrow that i can click to bring up the menu. If thi...

Re: Font size adjustment

@Geoffrey and pemasu You were both right about adjusting fonts in Qt apps. Thanks guys. On my netbook, Clementine, UMPlayer and Photo are now in line with the overall Carolina look, after the font adjustments. However, a few minor issues surfaced: 1 - In Clementine, the tiny fonts were retained for ...

Font size adjustment

Well, I've found a new bug with the trash panel applet. After installing patch-004, while you can add the plugin to the panel, and it does function correctly, upon rebooting (with savefile), it does not reappear. It isn't in the panel after reboot. So until we get that sorted out, you may want to a...

Re: Carolina

Your implementation of the shutdown dialogue is excellent! I hope you keep it that way and not move to PupShutdown, which I admit to be better than the standard way in Puppy but is way too crowded for me. Likewise, I'm glad that you kept Control Panel instead of PupControl. PupControl is good but yo...

Re: Carolina Linux

As promised by Geoffrey, here are some of the details of the upcoming beta release of Carolina-001 I would be so grateful if the kernel driver for ENE card reader is included. My original request is in the Saluki website http://saluki-linux.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28 . Thanks in advance f...

Re: People - look at what you're doing here!

This thread is getting ridiculous - 231 pages of unsearchable stuff no-one can read through in a sensible time. Go to the Saluki website there's a forum in there with *threads* - much more useful. This thread should be CLOSED ASAP by the mods here. hi marmalade. Good on you! Could not agree more...

Which forum moving forward?

Hi Jemimah and All

As Saluki now has its own website http://saluki-linux.com/Forum/index.php, is it proper to ask Saluki fans to use that moving forward?

Cheers

LibreOffice menu icon size

I downloaded luki16 sometime ago but only had time to try it today. Impressed, again! (Until now i'm using Fluppy013) Just one very minor thing that I found, tho i'm not sure whether this has been fixed down the line, is with the size of LibreOffice menu icon. When called from the taskbar, the apps ...

Just wondering.
Maybe. Probably until I get another job where I'm chained to a desk with nothing to do.

Fluppy has been the best OS driving my netbook.
I can't thank you enough for the fantastic experience.

All the best for you Jemimah!

Latest midori

If you go to http://webcamplaza.net Parole generates an error about plugins. Could that be related to the other updates to Midori? I did not get these errors before. Compiz, Rox

jemimah wrote:It's a setting in the ROX options. Go to Compatibility and check "Pass backdrop mouse clicks to the window manager".
In icewm & openbox, checking that option restored the Applications menu when right-clicking on the desktop. Is it possible to achieve the same within flwm and compiz?

Compiz, Rox

Thanks heaps to Jemimah for introducing me to beryl-compiz! I think it was with Fluppy 08 that i tried beryl for the first time. Although I soon reverted to icewm, i would revisit beryl to experiment with what it has to offer. I've done a new usb frugal install of Fluppy 13 with compiz and likes the...

Re: Midori

Chrome is gone, replaced by a much smaller, lighter, and cuter Midori. Midori is build on webkitgtk-1.3.5 which seems to be the most stable version. I've built in full html5 video support and other cutting edge web features.... I didn't mean to spoil the Midori party, but here's a practical compari...
