Draft Mini Guide
Hmmm ..... I am making mini-guides for some charity org members ... they seem to need a push to get them going as most are still on older win9x machines ... I was asked to do this as I'm one of the few who's using linux and they really need to cut down software overheads ... (Fortunately, the board ...

Re: Grub installation
Hmmm ..... I have Puppy 4.1.1 and I have copied sfs files on my hard drive, but I need everytime to insert live CD in order to boot my system in Puppy. I found a "Grub installation" menu but I don't know how can I install Grub so that I can boot my puppy system without Puppy CD. I followed...

cups1.4b2-i486 pet (2.46MB) reworked for lpt & usb printers
Hmmm ..... I've been trying to figure out how to get latest CUPS working. I know that the default CUPS 1.1.23 works just fine. But as soon as I upgrade to CUPS 1.3.3, it broke something somewhere. I've also added Samba server 3.0.26 and the stuff won't play nice. Apart from that, paraport modules st...

Re: CUPS will not print in 4.1.1/2
Hmmm ..... ..... I compiled the latest 1.3.9 version, but no joy there either. Tried altering permissions - still nothing. ..... I've found out a working solution for my box ... Using cups-1.3.3 here ... For some reasons that I've yet to ascertain, the spool folder requires *FULL* rwx permission at ...

Hmmm ..... Hey there ! I'm currently on Puppy 4.1.1 configured to run Samba 3.0.26 + CUPS-1.3.3 + OpenSSH 5.1p1 + VNCserver ... Everything seems to be working fine after I whack it for a week ...
