With USB Viewer I see in the left pane EHCI Host Controller and EHCI Host Controller and on the rigth pane I see that there are 8 ports and so on.

Yes it does. I have puppy 3.01 but I have tried withd Dingo too running pfix=ram. No USB. I am very absent-minded person and lose things often. But this really is my record.

Have you tried Audacity? You can do it with sound editors like that. I don't remember how it was exactly done - it could be that you have to record the midi tracks to wav. I fixed the menu entry. And one other thing ... oh me, how absent-minded I can be. But now it should be OK. It needs snack for sound.
