quick question
I want to play with the defualt settings in aria2c. I often start aria2c through flashgot, which so far as I can tell does not allow adding command line arguments. this also means I donot keep the url naturally. My real struggle is that if the connection drops so does aria2c, and I have to restart ...

hiya, I have completed all the steps aforementioned (in the first post of this topic) , however at step 6 ctrl + space seems just to revert me back to the previous font, instead of the Chinese one I have selected. I tried to work around, by adding another shortcut combo t do the same job, however ...

Thanks,
I've tried 2, don't see any harm in trying the third. (apart from the 2rmb for the cd.)
also for the gspca, Ill see if I can play with it for a while.
many thanks.

complicated but possible?
you said it is complicated to get the drivers needed onto puppy 4.2
but I cannot get jaunty to start up. It shows the boot options, but no further. it just hangs, with a flashing underscore.
how complicated is it, I realise I am quite the newbie. but I should like to learn.

a few more thoughts
Hi I have been using puppy 4.2 for about a month now, I really like the feel and the speed. I am not a complete linux newbie, but I feel I don't understand all that much. I can and am willing to learn. There are however a few things that made it difficult to make the jump. The first and possibly the ...

Aria2c
Hey so after posting the previous, I decided to try to check a few other managers. aria2c seems to be doing what I was asking for. no cloggage from, and from what I can tell it seems to have a second file to help it resume later in the same place, which seems handy. took me a few seconds to work out ...

wxdfast has issues
I tried this wxdfast, but what I found as I tried to download a new distro (109 M) that it seemed to dowload this whole file into ram before saving it where I had told it to put it. This meant the puppyspace bar was full. Eventually the download finished and it saved it where it was supposed to go ...

This prolog application is awesome.
so mu?
does this mean, using this makes using rpms as simple as using the .pup files?
once you have done that, it is installed?
if so, that's awesome.
