Sorry for this, but I am having difficulty getting the WLI-CB-G54 working, and cannot follow what is being said on a lot of these threads, with no definitive answers to be found. You speak of an updated wizard, but give no file name or link ? I have tried all sorts of things out including tips for r...

LateDeveloper, kledge, zgp152, Instead of starting usbserial, please force loading of the module, option, in the BootManager. Also, be sure you have the usb_modeswitch-0.9.7 dotpet installed. The current problem with the automatic detection of these modems appears to be the failure to load the opti...

I can mirror some of the posts on here by saying that when you get someone new to any forums that has people knowledgeable in a technical way, the new people get put off quite quickly by these so called egg heads not coming down out of the clouds and giving simple and coherent explanations to a prob...

I get /usr/x11R7/bin/startx: line 393 /etc/.XLOADED: Stale NFS file handle /usr/x11R7/bin/startx: line 431 /etc/.XLOADED: Stale NFS file handle after running the xorg wizard to try ...

rerwin Regarding the APN and PIN: You should probably start out by leaving them blank. My understanding is that they are probably already set in the modem memory. I did try leaving different fields blank at different times, (including APN and Pin) and on each occasion the program threw up an error m...

Ok this is now working intermitantly, I just put 0000 in for the pin. On connect primary and secondary address comes up as 10,11,12,13 and 10,11,12,14 at which point there is no connection with the browser activated. After I have done a ctrl C and then a retry, it comes up with sensible addresses an...

I am completely new to Linux, except for trying out a few versions over the years. I decided to put puppy on on an old laptop for a friend, then ran into the problem of no connection for the modem, a ZTE MF 622. I have run PGPRS modem setup and probed for the modem which it appears to have found. A ...
