Thanks.

Will check out these drivers as well...

No luck, needless to say, with WPA on WL-107. WPA hadn't worked with the Asus WL-107 in Win. 98, which was originally running this Dell laptop.

I've returned to WEP with the attendant problem of being unable to make a connection in Puppy.

yep. Same card.

On reboot: no connection. Settings not saved?

Reset LAN to WPA-PSK security... now trying to reconfigure WL-107.

ndiswrapper did not work with any of the windows drivers for the Asus WL-107 (including Autorun.inf - which sounded encouraging)...

and still no more talking computers icon in status bar and no brain activity in cards... I miss them.

thanks for the link on WEP... everything was looking very positive. I reinstalled WL-107 - on the basis that if it worked I could take the DSE back and get a refund! - and the s:(your 128bit key here) said immediately that a connection had been found... however, browser (Seamonkey) couldn't find pag...

I did get an APIPA. LAN connects 5 computers to internet through wireless router. Have read that cabling straight from router to the laptop (the Puppy) is helpful in configuring. Don't understand the ins and outs of it. And don't have cable. Surely the WEP wouldn't be a problem? Am sending this from...

frustration getting the better of me, I went out to look for wlan cards on the puppy-compatible list... and found only a DSE Wlan 802.11g... Which gives exactly the same results as the old Asus Wlan-107: i.e., when configured with connection wizard, everything looks peachy until one actually tries t...

Unable to connect WLAN-107

I am new to Puppy but have successfully installed it. I am trying to connect to the internet via an Asus Wireless AP Card WL-107 - PCI slot 0... The connection wizard seems to find the correct driver rt2400 for what is listed as wlan0 and the network comes up as active scanning for an IP bears resul...

Installing Puppy on Dell Inspiron 3500

would like to say it's Puppy love, but having been going back and forth with these issues: running Dell Inspiron 3500 64 Mb ~ 333.9 Mhz ~ i686 CPU (with Neomagic vid card and Asus Wireless AP Card WL-107 to connect to WLAN) have tried running install off 'installers' - with no luck: reboot / shutdow...

further to:

Thanks for your prompt reply: issues remain: no pup_save file and no connection: on frugal install as per instructions, system will not reboot or shut down from GUI (have to do it manually); hence, there is no pup_save file prompt (and no existing pup_save: how do you make one? (e.g. bootmanager ask...

nice puppy naughty lappy

Trying to install Puppy 4.2.1 on a Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop (300 mhz - 64 bit ram - ran win 98 until I puppified it) ... Given the pawcity of ram, I took the full install option... it's identified the internal drive as sda... But owing to my superfloppying it, in the hope of taking a shortcut (!), ...
