In the "Save Session" tab of the "Puppy Event Manager", there's only the "save interval" that can be set. From the text there, it seems I have to set some PUPMODE to 5 or 0 so there's no save (seems like no save icon either on the desktop). So, 1. How do I set the PUPMO...

How to disable Save prompt when shuttingdown multisession cd

I have Puppy 4.2.1. I save all the config on the CD. There's already a save icon on the desktop so I think the prompt is redundant. I would like to disable the save prompt (save to the multisession cd I booted with) when shutting down / rebooting. This prompt is preventing me from remotely shutting ...

BarryK, you are right, with 4.2.1-k2.6.25.16 ... it just work "nothing to do". Initially, I started using PuppyLinux on a P2 233 Mhz machine so I took the retro version just to be safe ... and then I kept using the same CD on my P4 machine ... so sorry, my bad this time. Version 4.3.1 and ...

I have PuppyLinux 4.2.1 retro-k.2.6.21.7.

Using Hardinfo, I see my external Usb DVD burner listed under "SCSI Disks" as "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-E40L".

So it seems PuppyLInux does see it.

What should I do to be able to use it?

Does PuppyLinux support External Usb DVD Burner?

I have an external usb dvd burner "LG GSA-E40L" bought in 2008. It is working perfectly fine with my windows machine. I plugged it to my PuppyLinux box to hopefully have 2 dvd burners to be able to copy DVD on the fly. It's plugged directly to one of the usb ports available (no usb hub). P...

PBurn "Copy disk ..." also doesn't work (got I/O error while reading like all my previous attempts). I still let PBurn finish burning the new disk and all I am getting is vanilla clean PuppyLinux Live-CD (working) without my saved sessions. Looks like PBurn (and all the other CD copy/imagi...

How to Clone / create PuppyLinux multi-session CD image

I have 2 old machines. I have configured one to my taste and save all the config on the PuppyLinux CD itself. Now I want to clone that CD to boot my second machine. I tried - readcd dev=0,0,0 f=/cygdrive/D/Docs/puppy.iso - use ImgBurn to create the CD image - use IsoBuster to create the CD image All...

pup_save.2fs on usb flash drive is ignored at boot (4.1.1)

Hi, Before quitting Puppy, I did select to save all my settings to a file on the root of my usb flash drive. On subsequent reboot, the settings are ignored and I have to re-enter my keyboard, my windows manager again. Is there something special (bootparam ?) I need to do to get my saved settings rea...
