Puppy Ultimate Edition

G'day, First of all let me answer why? A sickeningly obvious answer is why not! Let me be more specific. Firstly, I am doing a Puplet for the local Linux Users Group to recondition old computers for families in crisis. I used Puppy 3.01 as I've had 100% hardware compatibility with Puppy 3 - this has...

G'day, Gnucash works in Puppy 3.01 - but it's a very tedious process to ensure the dependencies are satisfied - I have included it in my Puppy Ultimate Edition to show that it is possible. What you need to install is gnome-2.20 from here .. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?search_id=53...

G'day, Interesting side-note. I mainly use a heavily customised Puppy 3.01 and I use Firepup. Now I find, to my amazement that many Puppy 4 programmes work fine in Puppy 3. But, alas FireDog is not one of those... But, it does very interesting things to Firepup. Firepup normally runs very fast..very...

G'day Battleshooter, Nice project - hope one day I will try it out as I really like kdenlive - a tad too busy alas! I'm not sure if this will help but you may wish to have a look at some of the KDE 4 pets I've got. Maybe, this will speed up your development. These are based on newyearpup and give yo...

G'day,
I have no idea about how it works on Puppy 4.3.1 - I can only go on what worked for me and that was in Puppy 4.1.2 (will get around to trying again on a fresh install of Puppy 4.1.2.
Your in new territory as I'm a bit of old tech junkie and haven't looked at the newer versions.

G'day, Thank you Lobster + Big_Bass - you have given me much food for thought. At the moment I'm dividing my time between a number of linked projects. I have also found many updated programmes compiled for Puppy 4 work well in Puppy 3. As a testing platform I have created a rough version of Puppy Ul...

G'day, Playdayz's project looks very interesting but unfortunately I'm stuck in the past with version 3.01 - it just work so well with old hardware. I've already created an easy to understand xdialog script which downloads and installs programmes and dependencies for programmes which work on a fresh...

G'day, I have found a potential bug. Need to confirm this on other systems... CSS view is compromised - not getting the same view as from the Browser - yet I can view the CSS layout on NVU. Has anyone had the same problem? Running from terminal I haven't seen any dependency glitches yet. Cheers Mart...

G'day, Most Mozilla packages are like that but I have just made running it a little easier as well as beta testing it. But if you want a challenge then try that with the Spicebird project - there is a few issues there which I haven't overcome. The main advantage for installing this version is that I...
